Shael Dream Desert was foaled in 2001 and is by the Ansata Halim Shah son, Ansata Shaamis. Ansata Shaamis’ dam is the beautiful AK Faressa (Prince Fa Moniet x AK Nameesa [Na Ibn Moniet x Nashwah, a daughter of Gleannloch’s Sakr and out of Norra (Morafic x Bint Mona) a chestnut full sister to The Egyptian Prince]. Shael Dream Desert is out of the mare, Elettra, a daughter of Straight Egyptian World Champion, Hadidi. Hadidi’s sire was Norus (Gharib x Noha) and his dam was none other than the U.S. National Champion Futurity Mare, Hebet Allah (Morafic x Soheir II). Elettra’s dam was the Russian bred mare, Afrodite, bred by Barbara Bigotti of Italy, and who carried several lines to Straight Egyptian Arabians: Aswan (Nazeer x Yosreia), Nil (Sid Abouhom x Malaka), Rissalma (dam of Priboj and Praga), Rixalina (dam of Nagrada and Korej), Selima, Rim, and others.
Elettra won several championships throughout Italy before she became part of the broodmare band. First she produced Venus Magic Moon (x BJ Thee Mustafa), then Minerva Magic Shael (x Ansata Shaamis), a full sister to her famous brother, Shael Dream Desert. Then she was bred to WH Justice and produced the stallion, Magic Shadeedeh.
Shael Dream Desert became quite the globe trotter, too…from Italy to Brazil, to the Netherlands, to the United States of America and then on to Saudi Arabia, and then back to Italy. And it’s no wonder that people all over the world were anxious to use him as a sire. His get were winning all over the globe in very stiff competition: FT Shaella of Dubai Stud: Gold & Bronze Champion Mare at the Dubai Championships in 2017 & 2013, respectively; Gold Champion Mare at the Prince Sultan Festival in Saudi Arabia; 2012 Silver Champion at the World Championships in Paris; Silver Champion in Abu Dhabi & Dubai; Gold Champion & Best Head in Menton; and many more. Then there was Felicia RLC, owned by Ajman Stud who was named World Cup Reserve Champion Junior Mare; Van Katalina was National Supreme Champion Mare in Argentina; Shannan El Madan was World Bronze Medal in Paris, and his granddaughter, D Shahla (x Marajj) was crowned Gold Champion Junior Filly at the 2015 Paris World Championship.
What a tremendous ambassador for the Straight Egyptian Arabian he has been through his sire, Ansata Shaamis, and his maternal grandsire, Hadidi. He truly embodied so many of the wonderful elements of classic type for which the Egyptian Arabian is known throughout the world.
